Network partners

We support every student in all public school districts across Wisconsin. School districts, organizations, and individuals who join our network as contributing partners receive priority access to our events, workshops, and supports. Our nonpartisan teams in partner districts receive priority access to resources such as #VotePublic mini-grants, digital communication tools, pro-public billboards and messaging guidance, one-on-one consultations, and district-specific data breakdowns. Support from our contributing partners helps ensure we remain in tune and in touch with the priority needs of Wisconsin students, teachers, and communities.

Be a Network partner and receive direct support to energize local action with statewide impact in your district!

Benefits of partnership

Our nonpartisan, local-level, student-focused advocacy brings supporters of strong public schools together where they live to increase our collective impact on the state budget, education policy, and student outcomes.

Direct support & engagement

We bring school leaders, board members, educators, caregivers and community allies together year-round, statewide and where we live.

From consultations and workshops to mini-grants for local projects, we facilitate local action that works. Partner districts get exclusive access to expert briefings, legislative updates, events and tools. Local advocacy teams get support for referenda efforts and nonpartisan voter education. Our regular meetings, trainings, workshops, and Summer Summit unite thousands of people every year.

Expert-vetted resources

From our Legislative Vote Tracker to our Budget HQ, we get past the politics to center student needs & keep Wisconsin informed. Our research-based Public Schools Unite Us campaign provides positive, unifying tools to bring people together in a time of uncertainty and divides.

Action that works

Our annual campaigns rally thousands into direct local action and everyday advocacy around the state budget, reforming Wisconsin's inadequate and unfair funding system, and more.

Our coalition efforts led to the first increase to special education funding in a decade, and we have changed the conversation on school funding by engaging regular folks and demanding better from state, local, and national leaders.

State and nationally recognized impact

Our Network has been recognized with numerous accolades, including:

Phyllis Bush Memorial Award for Grassroots Organizing, Network for Public Education
(2025)

Become a partner district

If you’re a superintendent, school board member, or administrator interested in making your district a Network partner, take these steps:

Contact our executive director

Contact Heather at hdb@wisconsinnetwork.org to learn more about partnership. Our team is organized by region, and we would be happy to present to your school board, meet to share information, and answer your questions. When your district is ready to join, we’ll send an invoice and make your partnership official.

Join our network

Join the network and be sure to pick one or two representatives from your district as the “lead contacts” for us. In addition to events and workshops, action alerts, news and legislative updates, you’ll be invited to monthly Network partner meetings to check in on the highlights, challenges, and needs of students in your district — and make meaningful connections with public school advocates across Wisconsin.

Share your stories with all Wisconsin

We want to amplify the amazing things happening in your district. Our public schools are the heart of our communities, and they unite our communities like no other institution can. Help us share your important and inspiring stories and center the needs of local  students & teachers in our statewide advocacy efforts.

Our partners

Wisconsin Public Education Network works with partners across the state and country.

We sit at coalition tables and networks across the state and the nation to keep Wisconsin in the loop and at the table of critical conversations and opportunities for action.

Contact us if you’d like to see your organization on this list!
