Free the Future Advanced Leaders Organizing Training August 15-16

What : This program starts with a two-day virtual training that will cover community organizing skills that you can apply in local and national campaigns to defend, protect and strengthen public education. That will include: Outreach and building a base, Building an organizing committee, Defining and mapping power, Planning effective actions,  and Leadership development strategies. From there, participants will receive ongoing support to build local teams.

Who: This training is for education activists and leaders who are committed to:

• Bring together a team of 10-20 public school supporters to be your home team
• Lead outreach efforts to mobilize public school supporters in your area to take action and to join the Free the Future Campaign to protect public education
• Organize local actions that pressure lawmakers to protect public schools
• Be part of a national cohort of leaders strategizing and planning ways to build power nationally to protect students and public schools

When: This training will be held the weekend of August 15-16th, 10-3pmET/7am-12pm PT
