Join Chris Hambuch-Boyle, NW Wisconsin organizer for Wisconsin Public Education Network, for a rich and eye-opening intro to how our public schools are funded. Areas of the State budget for education will be discussed with plenty of time for Q&A.

Quality, accessible public education is a cornerstone of democracy.  The current conditions and trends with public school funding in Wisconsin are having an impact on the quality and accessibility of education for our children.

This session will feature information on taxpayer funded vouchers for private schools and special education funding in the present 2-year state budget, and will allow participants to connect the dots over time between legislation and public school funding impacts.  Most legislation was and continues to happen without transparency to taxpayers. Wisconsin Public Education Network kicked off their Transparency Project last summer at their Green Bay Summer Summit.  You will get up-to-date progress on what communities are doing across the state.

The more we know, the better we can support public education in our communities.

This free event is open to the public.  Please invite your friends, family members, and colleagues who may be interested!
