Join Public School Strong to explore what’s at stake for public education in 2026—featuring the incredible author, journalist, and podcast host Jennifer Berkshire. We'll dive in together on how we can learn from this year's struggles and organize to take back our democracy in 2026 and beyond.

This year has felt like a constant battle to defend our schools and our communities from federal attacks.

From deep funding cuts to censorship, from dismantling the Department of Education to targeting immigrant students and families,  we’ve all witnessed shocking attacks aimed directly at the heart of our communities: our public schools.

Yet we’ve also seen powerful, unprecedented resistance, with millions taking to the streets, defending neighbors, speaking out for their public schools, and pressing school board officials to hold strong.

Public school parents, family members, educators and supporters from across the country will learn:

• How to show your support for well-resourced and inclusive public schools
• How to engage with your school board for positive change
• How to form a Public School Strong team in your school district
• Ways to join a national movement to promote, protect and strengthen our public schools

Folks who attend a Public School Strong Organizing Meeting and take the pledge to organize in their own school district will also be mailed a Public School Strong t-shirt!

PSS members will also be given access to toolkits, talking points, deeper trainings, and more to help build the movement for honest, equitable, and fully funded public schools in every school district.
