The Power of Student Action
CALLING ALL STUDENTS!
LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW TO GET ORGANIZED TO JOIN THE FIGHT FOR THRIVING PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR ALL STUDENTS!
Join students from Wisconsin Student Action, Kentucky Student Voice Team, and Students Engaged to Advance Texas to learn more about how students are joining forces all over the nation to fight back against underfunding, privatization, and other attacks on our public schools.
In Kentucky, students are suing the state to keep their broken promise to guarantee an adequate and equitable education. In Texas, student organizers at SEAT are organizing to impact policy through direct action, advocacy, and litigation. Learn more about what’s working, what they’ve learned, and how they’re doing it in this conversation with students looking to get similar efforts off the ground in Wisconsin.
This zoom webinar is free and open to all public school champions, but is intended for (and organized by) high school students and adults who directly support their organizing efforts.
Featuring:
Rachel Belin (Managing Partner) and Luisa Sanchez (Cross Organizational Coordinator) from Kentucky Youth Voice;
Valentina Rivas Labarca (Engagement Director), Ayaan Moledina (Federal Policy Director), Christianna Thomas (Programs Director) and from SEAT (Students Engaged to Advance Texas)
